Terms and Conditions of the Competition

1) Definitions:

a) Organizer – KWADRON spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością spółka komandytowa, ul. Sosnowiecka 81, 31-345 Kraków, REGON: 368914812, NIP: 9452215086, KRS: 0000707268, e-mail: info@kwadron.net, address for electronic delivery entered in the Polish Database of Electronic Addresses: AE:PL-88517-49032-TRESE-20.

b) Regulations – these regulations specifying the rules of the INKERION Online Tattoo Convention competition organized by the Organizer.

c) Competition – the INKERION Online Tattoo Convention competition organized by the Organizer, consisting of selecting the best tattoos submitted to the Competition in each competition category, as determined by the competition jury. 

d) Website – the website www.inkernion.com, through which the Organizer accepts entries for the Competition.

e) Participant – a person who has entered the Competition via the Website by completing the registration form, submitting photos, and paying the entry fee.

f) Jury – individuals with knowledge and experience in tattoo creation, selected by the Organizer to evaluate the Participants’ entries.

2) If you have any problems or questions regarding the Competition, please contact the Organizer at info@kwadron.net or by phone at +48 608804444.

3) Only individuals who are of legal age and have full legal capacity and are participating in the Competition for purposes unrelated to their business or professional activity may participate in the Competition. This does not exclude individuals who are entrepreneurs from participating in the Competition, provided that they are not acting as entrepreneurs when entering the Competition.

4) The condition for participation in the Competition is to read and accept these Regulations when submitting an application for participation in the Competition.

5) In order to submit an entry to the Competition, it is necessary to use a web browser installed on a device with internet access and a data transmission speed that allows for the transfer of photos.

6. The Competition is divided into the following categories:

– in black or black and gray,

– The person submitting a tattoo to the Competition, created in collaboration by two artists, declares that they have the written consent of the other artist to submit the entry in accordance with the Rules, unless both artists are submitting the entry jointly.

7) Registration for the Competition consists of:

a) completing the registration form on the Website, providing the truthful information requested in the form (including first name, last name, email address, telephone number, and Instagram account name),

b) selecting the competition category,

c) submitting one to five photos of the tattoo being entered into the Competition, in accordance with the characteristics and requirements of the selected competition category (it is also possible to submit a video of the tattoo). Both fresh and healed tattoos are accepted,

d) submitting one portrait photo of the Participant,

e) paying the Competition participation fee of EUR 61,50 gross via the payment service indicated on the Website.

The Organizer confirms the registration of the Participant’s Competition entry by sending a confirmation email to the email address provided by the Participant when registering. Upon receipt of the confirmation email, participation in the Competition begins.

8) Requirements for photos submitted as part of the competition entry:

a) each photo submitted as part of the competition entry must be clear,

b) the tattoo submitted to the competition must be fully visible in at least one of the photos submitted as part of the competition entry,

c) the following are prohibited in photos submitted as part of the competition entry:

filters, intensive graphic editing, frames, or watermarks,

d) photos submitted as part of the competition entry must faithfully represent the actual appearance of the tattoo,

e) photos submitted as part of the competition entry may be taken in either portrait or landscape format.

9) By submitting a tattoo to the Competition, the Participant declares that they are the author of the submitted tattoo and are entitled to unlimited use of the photos submitted as part of the competition entry (including photos of the tattoo and the portrait photo). If the Participant submits a video of a tattoo as part of the Competition, the Participant declares that they are entitled to unlimited use of such video.

10) By submitting a tattoo to the Competition, the Participant grants the Organizer a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license for a period of five years for the works in the form of the tattoo submitted to the Competition, photographs of the tattoo submitted as part of the Competition, a portrait photograph of the Participant, and a video of the tattoo submitted as part of the Competition (if submitted) in the following fields of exploitation:

a) with respect to recording and reproducing the work – producing copies of the work using a specific technique, including printing, reprographics, magnetic recording, and digital techniques;

b) with respect to trading in the original or copies on which the work is recorded – placing on the market, lending, or renting the original or copies;

c) with respect to disseminating the work in a manner other than that specified in letter b above – public performance, exhibition, display, reproduction, broadcasting, and rebroadcasting, as well as making the work publicly available in such a way that anyone can access it at a place and time of their choosing.

11) The Participant warrants that, based on the license granted, the Organizer will be entitled, in particular, to take the following actions, including for the Organizer’s advertising and marketing purposes:

a) displaying the Participant’s portrait photo, photos, and videos submitted as part of the Competition, depicting the tattoo submitted to the Competition, as part of a live broadcast of the Jury’s deliberations broadcast on the Internet, including on YouTube and Facebook, as well as making recordings of such broadcast available online upon request;

b) publishing the Participant’s portrait photo, photos, and videos submitted as part of the Competition, depicting the tattoo submitted to the Competition, on websites;

c) presenting the Participant’s portrait photo, photos, and videos submitted as part of the Competition, depicting the tattoo submitted to the Competition, at trade fairs, exhibitions, and other events related to tattoo creation;

d) displaying the trade fairs, exhibitions, and other events related to tattoo creation, as part of a live broadcast broadcast on the Internet, including on YouTube and Facebook, as part of a live broadcast of the tattoo creation indicated in point (a). c above, including shots containing the Participant’s portrait photo presented during the broadcast, photos and videos submitted as part of the Competition, showing the tattoo submitted to the Competition, and to make recordings of such broadcast available online upon request.

e) publishing on websites photos and videos from trade fairs, exhibitions, and other events related to tattoo creation indicated in c above, including the Participant’s portrait photo presented during the broadcast, photos and videos submitted as part of the Competition, showing the tattoo submitted to the Competition.

f) publishing on websites, on Instagram, on Facebook, in newspapers, magazines, in leaflets, and in folders photos and videos submitted as part of the Competition, showing the tattoo submitted to the Competition, and the Participant’s portrait photo.

12) In each case of disseminating photos and videos submitted as part of the Competition, showing a tattoo submitted to the Competition, the Organizer should make every effort to publicly disclose the name and surname of the Participant who is the author of such a tattoo, information about submitting the tattoo to the Competition and information about the Participant obtaining an award in a given competition category (in the case of disseminating photos and videos showing a tattoo submitted by the Participant who obtained an award in a given competition category of the Competition).

13) The Participant acknowledges that they will not be entitled to remuneration or other benefits for the Organizer’s use of the Participant’s image, photos, and videos submitted as part of the Competition, depicting the tattoo submitted for the Competition, in the manner specified in the Rules. The Participant acknowledges that it is desirable to disseminate the indicated materials in order to build the Participant’s authority in the tattoo industry.

14) Tattoos for the Competition can be submitted on the Website from 22.02.2026 to 30.06.2026.

15) It is prohibited to:

a) submit the same tattoo to more than one competition category,

b) re-submit a tattoo after the tattoo submitted by the Participant has been rejected for non-compliance with the Rules,

c) submit fragments of a single tattoo to different competition categories,

d) allow employees of the Organizer, their spouses, their siblings, their ascendants, or their descendants to participate in the Competition,

e) provide false information in the Competition entry form,

f) use participation in the Competition for activities that are contrary to generally applicable laws or good practices,

g) undertake actions intended to influence the impartiality of the Jury.

16) A tattoo may only be entered into one competition category. Therefore, it is not permitted to enter a tattoo already entered into a given competition category into another competition category.

17) Within one competition category, the Participant may submit a maximum of one tattoo to the Competition.

18) Participants are entitled to submit different tattoos to any number of competition categories, provided that:

a) the tattoos submitted to the Competition are clearly different from each other,

b) each tattoo submitted to the Competition meets the requirements of the competition category for which it was submitted,

c) each tattoo is submitted to the Competition using a separate registration form,

d) a separate entry fee is paid for each Competition entry.

19) The Organizer is entitled to transfer the tattoo submitted by the Participant to the selected competition category to another competition category that is more appropriate to the tattoo submitted to the Competition by the Participant.

20) The Organizer reserves the right to reject any entry submitted by the Participant who violates these Rules and Regulations, and to reject any entry submitted by the Participant whose actions violate these Rules. The jury may also decide to reject the entry on behalf of the Organizer during the evaluation of the tattoos submitted to the Competition. If an entry is rejected due to non-compliance with these Rules, the Organizer will refund the Participant’s entry fee within 14 days of the rejection date. In such cases, the Organizer may request the Participant to provide the information required to refund the entry fee.

21) The Competition will be adjudicated on 8-10.07.2026, during the Jury’s deliberations, which will be broadcast live online, including on YouTube and Facebook. A detailed schedule of the Jury’s deliberations in each competition category will be published by the Organizer on the Website by https://www.instagram.com/inkerion_convention/ 

22) The Jury will evaluate the tattoos submitted to the Competition.

23) The Organizer and the Jury have the right to request from the Participant by 30.06.2026.

a) additional photos of the tattoo submitted to the Competition, including shots of the indicated details,

b) a video depicting the tattoo submitted to the Competition in the manner specified in the request,

video materials.

The request referred to above will be sent to the Participant’s email address provided when registering their competition entry. The Participant is obligated to send the requested materials within 14 days of receiving the email address provided, failing which their competition entry will be rejected. If the competition entry is rejected in the above-mentioned case, the Organizer will refund the Participant’s participation fee within 14 days of the rejection date. In such a case, the Organizer may request from the Participant the information required to refund the aforementioned fee.

24) The Organizer will determine the composition of the Jury to evaluate tattoos in each competition category. In the event of a small number of Participants in a given competition category, the Organizer reserves the right to combine the competition categories selected by the Organizer.

25) The composition of the Jury may change for technical, organisational or random reasons, while maintaining the objectivity and independence of all Jury members and the procedure for assessing tattoos submitted to the Competition.

26) Tattoos submitted to the Competition will be evaluated by the Jury separately in each competition category based on the following criteria:

a) legibility and composition – the overall structure of the tattoo, including the clarity of concept, the balance of elements, and the presence of a distinct visual focal point;

b) anatomy and placement – ​​the tattoo’s placement on the body, its alignment with the natural anatomy, and its interaction with the body’s form;

c) overall impression – the strength of the work as a whole, its visual impact, and its ability to attract and hold attention;

d) technique – the quality and cleanliness of the execution within the chosen style, including the absence of technical errors such as uneven saturation, skin damage, stains, or unclear transitions.

Each Jury member appointed to evaluate tattoos in a given competition category awards each tattoo a number of points from 1 to 10 separately for each of the criteria indicated in letters a, b, c, and d above. An arithmetic mean is calculated from the scores for the criteria assigned by the Jury member, rounded to two decimal places. This creates a tattoo score awarded by one Jury member, ranging from 1 to 10, rounded to two decimal places. An arithmetic mean is calculated from the scores awarded by each Jury member to a given tattoo in a given competition category, rounded to two decimal places. The resulting average of the tattoo scores awarded by the Jury members constitutes the tattoo score awarded by the Jury for that tattoo in that competition category. The winner of a given competition category is the Participant whose tattoo submitted to the Competition received the highest score awarded by the Jury. Second place goes to the Participant whose tattoo submitted to the Competition received the second-highest score awarded by the Jury. Third place goes to the Participant whose tattoo submitted to the Competition received the third-highest score awarded by the Jury. However, if fewer than five tattoos are submitted to a given competition category, only first place will be awarded.

27) Jury members are entitled to change the awarded scores until the results of the Competition in a given competition category are announced.

28) The Jury’s decisions are final. The Participant has no right of appeal or other means of challenging the Jury’s decision.

29) The Jury announces the results of the Competition in a given competition category during a live online broadcast.

30) The Organizer will publish the results of the Competition at least on the Website.

31) Participants whose tattoos submitted to the Competition received 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in a given competition category will receive souvenir figurines which the Organizer will send to the Participants at their own expense to the correspondence address they provided. However, Participants will be obliged to pay customs duties and other taxes, fees and public charges, if any are due in the Participant’s country of residence. The value of the commemorative figurine will not exceed PLN 2,000.00, so its issue will be exempt from personal income tax pursuant to Art. 21 section 1 point 68 of the Act of July 26, 1991 on personal income tax in the version in force on the date of publication of the Regulations on the Website.

32) The Organizer provides an additional competition category called Best of Show, to which tattoos that received first place in the remaining competition categories automatically qualify. The evaluation and scoring of tattoos in the Best of Show category is based on the same principles as in the other competition categories.

33) The following cash prizes are awarded in the Best of Show competition category:

a) 1st place – EUR 2,500.00,

b) 2nd place – EUR 1,500.00,

c) 3rd place – EUR 1,000.00.

34) In the Best of Show competition category, one Participant may take more than one prize place.

35) Payment of the prize awarded in the Best of Show category is subject to a flat-rate tax on personal income in the amount of 10% of the winnings, which will be collected by the Organizer and paid to the appropriate tax office. For the purpose of calculating tax, the income from the prize will be converted into Polish zlotys at the average euro exchange rate announced by the National Bank of Poland on the last business day preceding the payment of the prize to the Participant.

36) If the Participant entitled to receive a prize in the Best of Show category has a tax residence outside Poland, the Organizer will verify whether Poland has a valid double taxation avoidance agreement with the country of tax residence of such participant, which would allow the tax not to be collected or to be collected in a different amount. However, in order to apply the provisions of the double taxation avoidance agreement, it will be necessary to provide the Organizer with a residence certificate (a certificate of residence for tax purposes issued by the tax administration of a given country). The certificate should be presented in the original or officially certified. It may be presented electronically in the form issued by the issuing authority. A scan of the paper version of the residence certificate is considered insufficient.

37) The Organizer will contact directly the Participants entitled to receive the prizes, using the contact details provided by the Participants when registering for the Competition, in order to determine the mode of awarding the prizes.

38) At the Participant’s request, the Organizer will issue the Participant with an electronic certificate confirming participation in the Competition.

39) The Participant may withdraw from the Competition no later than 5 full days before the first day of the Competition adjudication specified in section 21 above.

To do so, the Participant may:

a) send an email to info@kwadron.net

b) send a message to the Organizer’s electronic delivery address listed in the Polish Electronic Address Database: AE:PL-88517-49032-TRESE-20

c) send a written statement to the Organizer’s address: KWADRON sp. z o. o. sp. k.,

ul. Sosnowiecka 81, 31-345 Kraków.

40) If the Participant withdraws from the Competition, the Organizer will refund the Participant’s participation fee within 14 days of receiving the Participant’s withdrawal notice. In such a case, the Organizer may request the Participant to provide the information required to refund the aforementioned fee.

41) The Organizer is entitled to cancel the Competition without giving a reason. In the event of cancellation of the Competition, the Organizer will refund the Participant the fee for participation in the Competition within 14 days of canceling the Competition. In such a case, the Organizer may ask the Participant to provide the data required to return the above-mentioned fees.

42) Legal relations arising from or related to participation in the Competition:

a) are subject exclusively to Polish law,

b) are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Polish courts.
